Delta TechOps and Austrian Airlines Sign Multi-Year Exclusive Engine Maintenance Agreement

Delta TechOps and Austria’s largest carrier, Austrian Airlines, announced the signing of an engine maintenance agreement at the MRO Europe conference in London. The exclusive agreement covers PW4060 engine maintenance for up to six years supporting the airline’s Boeing 767 fleet. 

As the maintenance division of Delta Air Lines, Delta TechOps has numerous years of experience both operating and maintaining PW4000 engines. Delta TechOps will conduct scheduled full overhaul shop visits. In addition to regularly scheduled maintenance on these engines, Delta TechOps will support any unscheduled engine work as required.

Airbus Delivers First A330neo in Hi Fly Livery

Hi Fly, the privately-owned Portuguese wet lease specialist operating an exclusive all-Airbus fleet, has taken delivery of a new A330neo on lease from Air Lease Corporation (NYSE: AL). The aircraft is configured with 371 seats in a two-class layout, with 18 high-comfort lie-flat business class seats and 353 economy seats. All seats are equipped with the latest-generation in-flight entertainment system, and mood lighting is available throughout the aircraft.

The A330 will be deployed to further expand Hi Fly’s long-haul wet lease and charter operations worldwide. Hi Fly operates an all-Airbus fleet of 20 aircraft including four A320 Family aircraft, 15 A330/A340 Family aircraft and one A380.

As a wet lease specialist, Hi Fly provides aircraft on lease for short notice airline operations, with crew, maintenance and third-party insurance provided in a service-ready package.

The A330neo Family is the new-generation A330, comprising two versions: the A330-800 and A330-900. The A330neo Family aircraft shares 95% commonality with the previous A330.

It builds on the proven economics, versatility and reliability of the A330 Family, while reducing fuel consumption by 25% per seat versus previous generation competitors and increasing range by up to 1,500nm compared to the majority of A330s in operation.

The A330neo is powered by Rolls-Royce’s latest-generation Trent 7000 engines and features a new wing with increased span and new A350 XWB-inspired Sharklets. The cabin provides the comfort of the new Airspace amenities including state-of-the-art passenger inflight entertainment and Wi-Fi connectivity systems.

La Compagnie Announces Flights Between New York And Nice

Boutique airline expands service with seasonal flights between New York and Nice beginning May 2019

December 4, 2018 (New York, NY) – Four years after launching as an exclusively business-class boutique airline with unbeatable fares between New York and Paris, La Compagnie has announced the launch of a new seasonal route between New York and Nice with the first direct flight scheduled for Sunday, May 5, 2019. Travelers to Nice can now book tickets and enjoy a limited-time Discovery Rate of $1,200 round-trip for the
first 1,000 passengers.

This announcement comes as the latest in a series of positive developments for the airline, who is awaiting the delivery of its first Airbus A321neo in April 2019. With the arrival of the new plane, La Compagnie will grow its fleet to three aircrafts, further allowing the airline to develop its offer with a new trans-Altantic flight and direct access to the South of France during prime season.

The new route will operate five times weekly, Wednesday through Sunday, between the months of May and October. Flights out of Newark International Airport (EWR) will depart at 11:30PM, arriving to Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport (NCE) at 1:50PM the following afternoon. Flights departing Nice will be offered at 6:15PM with a same-day arrival in New York at 10:00PM. La Compagnie passengers can also enjoy service to Nice on Monday or Tuesday with connections from Paris Orly Airport (ORY) operated through a special partnership with easyJet.

As with all La Compagnie flights, passengers will be welcomed with lounge and priority access for a painless and exclusive pre-flight experience.
