Boeing is boosting production of its Everett-made 767 mid-sized jet due to demand from cargo companies and the military, CEO Dennis Muilenburg said Wednesday.
“Today, 767 Freighters are the best they have ever been, and demand continues to grow,” Muilenburg said. “The growth of the e-commerce market is fueling some of that.”

FedEx Corp. (FDX) today announced it has placed a reservation for 20 Tesla Semi trucks. The fully-electric trucks, which are scheduled to begin production in 2019, will be operated by FedEx Freight, its less-than-truckload unit.
“FedEx has a long history of innovation and incorporating sustainability efforts throughout its global network,” said FedEx Freight president and CEO Mike Ducker. “Our investment in these trucks is part of our commitment to improving road safety while also reducing our environmental impact.”

Textron Aviation has unveiled and launched the twin-engined Cessna 408 SkyCourier with a surprise order by FedEx for up to 100 aircraft worth $550 million at list price. Textron also believes that amazon.com could be a potential customer for the aircraft.
