Will the LA Rams new 1.9 billion dollar stadium be designed using stealth technology? It appears that the answer will be yes. There are serious concerns that the new facility could possibly interfere with radar tracking at the Los Angeles International Airport, creating a potential hazard for aircraft landing at the fourth busiest airport in the US. The FAA has deemed the structure hazardous, and proposed design changes to fix any possible radar interference issues. The stadium will need to be coated with radar absorbing material, or have the stadiums geometric design altered so that the structure reflects the signals away from the source. The new stadium is being built in Inglewood, less than 3 miles away from the closest LAX runway. This could possibly interfere with radar tracking of approaching aircraft, causing its location to be plotted incorrectly, according to the FAA report. The stadiums builders and designers are currently engaged in talks with the FAA to try and work out a solution for the issue.
