Fiji Airways announces Noumea as its newest international destination

Fiji Airways, Fiji’s National Airline, is proud to announce that New Caledonia’s capital, Noumea is our newest international destination.

The company confirms that Fiji has an existing Air Service Agreement (ASA) which allows Fiji Airways to provide services in French territories.

The first flight to La Tontouta International Airport in Noumea will be on Thursday 30^th November and starting 7^th December, the national carrier will fly twice weekly, every Monday and Thursday.

Fiji Airways is the perfect hub for guests out of New Caledonia, providing a comprehensive network of onward connections to North America, Asia, as well as other Pacific Island countries.

With the introduction of these new services, Fiji Airways will be flying directly to 26 destinations around the world.

Noumea is the third new market added to our network since international borders opened in December 2021.

The airline brings in 70 percent of all visitor arrivals into Fiji, and is the largest foreign exchange earner for the economy.

Flair Airlines Launches Edmonton to Quebec City Route

EDMONTON, July 10, 2023 – Today, Flair Airlines, Canada’s everyday low-fare airline, kicked off its inaugural flight from Edmonton to Quebec City connecting the two cities together through direct flights for the first time ever. Flights will run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

“We are excited to launch the first ever direct flight connecting Edmonton and Quebec City,” said Garth Lund, Chief Commercial Officer at Flair Airlines. “We look forward to offering Edmontonians more choice and affordable travel options as well as continuing our relationship with the Edmonton International Airport.”

Delta Partners with Georgia to Host State’s Largest COVID-19 Vaccination Site

According to the Delta Airlines website, the company will be hosting one of four mass COVID-19 vaccination sites in the state of Georgia beginning on Monday, February 22. The airline has picked the Delta Flight Museum as the location for vaccine distribution, with eligible participants being able to receive the vaccine via the drive through lane, or in the Museum itself. Delta is supporting the vaccination efforts in conjunction with its long standing commitment to protect the health and safety of their employees and customers.

Upcoming SpaceX Anasis-II Mission Launch Scheduled for July 20th

SpaceX is targeting Monday, July 20 for Falcon 9’s launch of the ANASIS-II mission, which will lift off from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The primary launch window opens at 5:00 p.m. EDT, or 21:00 UTC, and closes at 8:55 p.m. EDT, or 00:55 UTC on July 21.Falcon 9’s first stage previously launched Crew Dragon to the International Space Station with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley on board.

Following stage separation, SpaceX will land Falcon 9’s first stage on the “Just Read the Instructions” droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. The ANASIS-II spacecraft will deploy about 32 minutes after liftoff. Per the customer’s request, live coverage will end shortly after first stage landing.You can watch the launch webcast here, starting about 15 minutes before liftoff.
