Transavia France takes delivery of its first A320neo

Toulouse, France, January 10, 2024 – French low-cost carrier Transavia France, part of the Air France-KLM Group, has taken delivery of its first Airbus Group SE (Paris: AIR) A320neo, on lease from Avolon, from Airbus manufacturing site in Toulouse. The airline has opted for the Airbus option to have the delivery flight to Paris-Orly powered by a sustainable aviation fuel blend on board.

The new aircraft features 186 seats in a single class layout. Selected for its outstanding operational efficiency, reduced emissions and comfort, the A320neo will be deployed by Transavia France on its services on its domestic network as well as across its European and Mediterranean markets.

La Compagnie A321neo Makes Its First Transatlantic Flight

Toulouse – The first single-aisle A321neo destined for La Compagnie, an exclusively business-class French airline operating scheduled transatlantic flights, will commence transatlantic services on 6 June from Paris Orly Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport.

On lease from GECAS, La Compagnie’s A321neo is powered by CFM International LEAP 1A new generation engines and features a business class only cabin with 76 full flat seats, offering passengers unmatched comfort. The cabin also includes a high level of connectivity onboard.

Selected for their outstanding operational efficiency, comfort and range, these new-generation single-aisle aircraft allow the French carrier to benefit from better fuel efficiency and lower operating costs on its transatlantic New York-Paris route.

With this brand new A321neo, La Compagnie becomes the latest A321neo operator. The airline has two new A321neo aircraft on order.

La Compagnie Announces Flights Between New York And Nice

LA COMPAGNIE ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECT BUSINESS-CLASS FLIGHTS BETWEEN NEW YORK AND NICE

Boutique airline expands service with seasonal flights between New York and Nice beginning May 2019

December 4, 2018 (New York, NY) – Four years after launching as an exclusively business-class boutique airline with unbeatable fares between New York and Paris, La Compagnie has announced the launch of a new seasonal route between New York and Nice with the first direct flight scheduled for Sunday, May 5, 2019. Travelers to Nice can now book tickets and enjoy a limited-time Discovery Rate of $1,200 round-trip for the
first 1,000 passengers.

This announcement comes as the latest in a series of positive developments for the airline, who is awaiting the delivery of its first Airbus A321neo in April 2019. With the arrival of the new plane, La Compagnie will grow its fleet to three aircrafts, further allowing the airline to develop its offer with a new trans-Altantic flight and direct access to the South of France during prime season.

The new route will operate five times weekly, Wednesday through Sunday, between the months of May and October. Flights out of Newark International Airport (EWR) will depart at 11:30PM, arriving to Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport (NCE) at 1:50PM the following afternoon. Flights departing Nice will be offered at 6:15PM with a same-day arrival in New York at 10:00PM. La Compagnie passengers can also enjoy service to Nice on Monday or Tuesday with connections from Paris Orly Airport (ORY) operated through a special partnership with easyJet.

Icelandair adding flights to Paris Orly Airport

Icelandair has announced that it will be adding service to the Paris Orly Airport beginning this summer season. Flights will initially operate 2 times a week beginning on the 28th of March. Service will increase to 3 times a week beginning on the 21st of May, and then go up to 5 flights a week starting in June. The flights will be in addition to the current existing Icelandair service to the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The airlines flights to Paris began over 40 years ago at Orly Airport, before moving the flights to the newer Charles de Gaulle Icelandair adding flights to Paris Orly Airport Airport. The Paris Orly Airport is located just 8 miles south of many of the major tourist attractions of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde, and Notre Dame. Orly Airport also has high speed metro train access from both of the airport terminals.
