There’s little doubt that a couple of fatal crashes this past winter hurt Amtrak’s image in the minds of many U.S. consumers. Since then, data from “You Gov Brand Index” suggests that the public’s perception of the rail passenger service has largely been restored.

Two incidents in particular appear to have lowered Amtrak’s Buzz score, which asks consumers if they’ve heard anything positive or negative about a specific brand in the past two weeks.
