Our two return tickets to Austin were booked separately via the Southwest Airlines website. My wife used her miles to acquire her ticket, and my ticket was purchased for $127 one-way. I payed using a hotel rewards credit card, as they give you 2x points for airplane tickets purchased directly from any air carrier’s website. Our travel was nonstop from Seattle to Phoenix, Arizona. We were required to change planes at Sky Harbor to catch out nonstop connection back to Texas. We had a layover of one hour and five minutes, which was great. We had to take the skyway from our arrival gate in the East wing of Terminal Four over to the central wing. The flight was smooth all the way, and the clouds cleared prior to take off from SeaTac, which offered us excellent views on our climb out of the Emerald City.

Southwest Airlines 1085 flight review facts:

Aircraft: Boeing 737-700

Legroom: Standard

Aircraft condition: Good

Aircraft cleanliness: Good

Departure: 3:32 pm vs. 3:20 pm scheduled

Arrival: On-time at 6:05 pm

Non-alchoholic beverages: Free (partial can of soda. We usually have free bags on most airlines by paying for our tickets with the airline’s credit card, but you’d be surprised how many times the check in kiosks claim we have to pay for any checked bags. This is a very frustrating, and an un-neccesary hassle. The last time we flew United this happened, and probably resulted in that trip being our last on United Airlines. That flight was between Austin and Denver, and next time we will just fly Southwest Airlines so we don’t have to worry about checking any bags.

Southwest Airlines 1085 flight review: We departed the great Pacific Northwest from the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport last Monday, May 9th.
