Hyatt Regency Vancouver<\/strong> hotel is located right in the heart of the downtown area, and close to the cruise ship terminal. We had the chance to stay at this hotel on a recent trip to the great Pacific Northwest. This was the second time I was able to stay at the\u00a0Hyatt Regency Vancouver, and the first time for my wife. We were looking at staying just outside of downtown by the Sky Train station at “Olympic Village” or “Broadway\/City Hall”. Vancouver is very expensive, so the cost to stay just outside of downtown still would have been pretty high.\u00a0The cost ran just under $200 per night on average\u00a0to stay outside the city center, and\u00a0$250 and up in the downtown area\u00a0per\u00a0night. We decided\u00a0to avoid paying anything for our 1 night stay at the Hyatt Regency by using 12,000 of our Hyatt Gold Passport points. You can collect the Hyatt\u00a0Gold Passport points by staying at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts worldwide, using airline and rental car partners, and charging purchases on your Hyatt credit card. The credit card offers holders 2 free bonus nights at any level 1 through 4 Hyatt Hotel, if you charge $1000 in your first 3 billing statements. My wife and I used the\u00a0credit card bonus award to stay free for 2 nights at the Hyatt Regency Paris \u00c9toile hotel in France in 2014.<\/p>\n

Hyatt Regency Vancouver hotel review summary<\/h2>\n

The\u00a0luxury downtown Four Diamond hotel\u00a0features\u00a0644 contemporary guest rooms\u00a0that offer\u00a0stunning views of the surrounding Burrard Inlet, mountains, city skyline, and Stanley Park.\u00a0The lobby featured a Starbuck’s Coffee, The\u00a0Mosaic Grille restaurant and\u00a0Bar, and the attached\u00a0Royal Centre Mall. We stayed in a standard king bedroom with\u00a0380 square feet of space. Our room\u00a0was located on the 33rd floor, and the hotel featured “on demand” elevators. You would tap the floor you wanted on the kiosk, and it would tell you which elevator number would take you “nonstop” to your floor. When we opened our room\u00a0door, we found it to be\u00a0very elegant, with\u00a0a partial view of the inlet and city skyline. The room featured floor to ceiling windows, a\u00a0signature plush pillow-top Hyatt Grand King Bed, a down bedspread, large flat screen LED TV, and sleek contemporary furnishings.\u00a0Other amenities included a safe, natural slate in the bathroom, a central ceiling mounted rainfall shower head, an iHome stereo, and\u00a0complimentary high speed Wi-Fi.\u00a0The hotel was centrally located offering quick access to Chinatown, the water front, Stanley Park, the Rodgers Arena, and BC Place Stadium. All in all, I would rate the hotel an 8.5 out of 10, and would certainly stay at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver\u00a0again!<\/p>\n
