Donald Trump<\/strong> and his airplane fleet. Love him or hate him, Donald Trump has a very impressive fleet of aircraft at his disposal. The\u00a0presumptive\u00a0Republican Presidential nominee is currently on the campaign\u00a0trail\u00a0in his\u00a0Boeing 757-200 jet. The plane has been configured to carry up to 43 passengers. Amenities include a dining room, big screen TV, guest bedroom, and master bedroom with shower. The Boeing 757 aircraft, which\u00a0was assembled\u00a0in 1991 and acquired\u00a0by the Trump Corporation in 2010, replaced an\u00a0older Boeing 727 airplane the company had been flying. The\u00a0727 had\u00a0originally been operated by American Airlines. The 727 was then re-configured to seat up to 24 passengers, with\u00a0two\u00a0conference\u00a0rooms,\u00a0a crew rest area, a five\u00a0seat dining room, three\u00a0lavatories,\u00a0a kitchen galley, and a\u00a0Master Bedroom.\u00a0Trump\u00a0also owns and\u00a0operates\u00a0a single Cessna Citation X corporate jet that is configured for up to\u00a012 passengers. There are two\u00a0Sikorsky S-76B helicopters that also compliment the aircraft\u00a0fleet.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump and the Trump\u00a0Shuttle<\/h2>\n

Donald Trump acquired the Eastern Air Lines shuttle operations in 1989. The shuttle operated hourly service in the northeast from New York LaGuardia Airport to Boston and Washington National Airport. The airline also briefly operated\u00a0regularly scheduled flights from\u00a0LaGuardia\u00a0to Orlando, Florida. The life of Trump Shuttle ended up being\u00a0cut short. Severe labor turbulence at Eastern Air Lines prior to the sale had already driven many passengers to the competing Pan Am shuttle service.\u00a0Pan Am’s shuttle\u00a0service\u00a0started\u00a0slowly in the market, with just\u00a035% of the passengers. Following the Eastern Air Lines strikes prior to the shuttle sale to Trump,\u00a0Pan Am’s market\u00a0share had risen to 66%. Rising oil prices and an economic downturn was the final nail in the Trump shuttle coffin. The shuttle was eventually passed into the hands of US Air in December of 1991. The shuttle then\u00a0pass into the hands of American Airlines, when US Air\u00a0agreed to a merger in February,\u00a02013.<\/p>\n
