{"id":14210,"date":"2024-07-23T23:21:26","date_gmt":"2024-07-24T04:21:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/planesintheair.com\/?p=14210"},"modified":"2024-07-23T23:23:24","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T04:23:24","slug":"japan-airlines-signs-order-for-a350-900-and-a321neo-aircraft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/planesintheair.com\/?p=14210","title":{"rendered":"Japan Airlines signs order for A350-900 and A321neo aircraft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Farnborough International Airshow, United Kingdom, 23 July 2024<\/strong> \u2013 Japan Airlines (JAL) has signed a firm order with Airbus for 20 A350-900 widebody aircraft and 11 single-aisle A321neo, finalising a commitment announced earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The order was announced at the Farnborough Air Show 2024 during a signing ceremony with Yukio Nakagawa, Executive Officer and Senior Vice President Procurement of Japan Airlines, and Christian Scherer, Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Commercial Aircraft business.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The new A350-900s will join the carrier\u2019s A350 fleet serving international routes, while the A321neo will operate on domestic services within Japan. To date, JAL has ordered a total of 52 A350s, with 18 in service.
