{"id":14392,"date":"2024-10-20T23:55:04","date_gmt":"2024-10-21T04:55:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/planesintheair.com\/?p=14392"},"modified":"2024-11-10T15:58:51","modified_gmt":"2024-11-10T21:58:51","slug":"qantas-statement-on-ground-handling-compensation-judgment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/planesintheair.com\/?p=14392","title":{"rendered":"Qantas statement on ground handling compensation judgment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Story from Qantas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mascot, New South Wales, Australia, October 21, 2024 &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>The Qantas Group today apologises to former ground handling employees and accepts the Federal Court\u2019s ruling on compensation and will work to expedite the payments.<\/p>\n<p>The Court today set out the principles for compensation for almost 1700 former team members based on three \u201ctest case\u201d employees.<\/p>\n<p>The compensation for the three test cases for non-economic loss are $30,000, $40,000 and $100,000 based on their individual circumstances.
