This delivery is part of an $87 million USD project, Alstom\u2019s largest APM replacement contract to date and its second-largest APM project in the Americas.<\/p>\n<p>This marks the airport\u2019s third order of Innovia automated people mover (APM) vehicles, manufactured by Alstom in the U.S., bringing the total order to 63 cars. This latest generation of vehicles will reduce the risk of in-service failures and provide more reliable service for passengers at the world\u2019s busiest airport.<\/p>\n<p>Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, consistently ranked the world\u2019s busiest by passenger traffic, served over 108 million passengers in 2024. Alstom\u2019s unmatched expertise in integrated railway systems will ensure a smooth transition to the next generation of APM&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>The additional APM cars support the Plane Train\u2019s extension project to accommodate the growing number of travelers at the airport. This extension will enhance the system\u2019s capacity and improve multimodal connections, ensuring a seamless and efficient passenger experience.<\/p>\n<p>The new Innovia APM R trains are manufactured in West Mifflin, PA, Alstom\u2019s leading APM manufacturing center in North America. These vehicles offer greater energy efficiency, higher top speeds, and a lightweight aluminum frame that meets industry standards for safety and sustainability.
