Omaha, Nebraska, May 27, 2025 –\u00a0<\/strong>Union Pacific Railroad announced today its legendary steam locomotive, Big Boy No. 4014<\/a>, will make two whistle-stops in Greeley, Colorado, this summer as part of a limited summer excursion.<\/p>\n

Big Boy will be accompanied by Union Pacific\u2019s No. 1616 Lincoln Locomotive<\/a>, the railroad\u2019s newest commemorative locomotive, which honors Abraham Lincoln\u2019s role in uniting the nation through rail and laying the foundation for America\u2019s freight rail network.<\/p>\n

As part of this year\u2019s summer excursion, the Union Pacific Railroad Museum<\/a> will auction off four exclusive cab rides between Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Denver, Colorado. All proceeds will go to the museum, a nonprofit that shares American history through the lens of the railroad.<\/p>\n
