This takes the total order of Trent XWB-84 engines to 32. The first aircraft will enter service later this year. The two companies signed a TotalCare service agreement for the fleet at the 2025 Paris Airshow.<\/p>\n<p>The Trent XWB-84 is the best widebody engine in the world. It\u2019s designed, engineered, and optimised specifically for the Airbus A350 &#8211; delivering the lowest fuel consumption of any widebody engine and chosen by the world\u2019s most profitable airlines. The best gets even better with the introduction of the Trent XWB-84 EP, offering a further 1% fuel burn saving worth $5m a year for the average fleet.<\/p>\n<p>Rolls-Royce is investing \u00a31 billion across our modern Trent engines to increase their durability by an average of 80%, with a significant portion being delivered in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>TotalCare is designed to provide operational certainty for customers by transferring time on wing and maintenance cost risk back to Rolls-Royce.
