The picture was shot very early on New Years day 2016. The location\u00a0of\u00a0Denver on the U.S. map makes\u00a0it a key location for airlines. That central location makes Denver home to\u00a0one of the busier hub airports in the nation.\u00a0Continental, Frontier, People Express,\u00a0and Western Airlines all called Denver home for its location. These airlines were all based at the old Stapleton Airport,\u00a0prior to\u00a0the construction of the new Denver International Airport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As times changed, so would\u00a0the face of Denver&#8217;s aviation landscape. People Express went bankrupt. Frontier would also go\u00a0bankrupt, but later would be re-created. Western Airlines merged with Delta Air Lines. United Airlines would also acquire Continental Airlines.\u00a0Limited gate space and runways unable to deal with Denver&#8217;s weather lead to the construction\u00a0of a\u00a0new airport.
