{"id":15717,"date":"2026-08-10T00:01:34","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T05:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/planesintheair.com\/?p=15717"},"modified":"2026-08-10T00:10:03","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T05:10:03","slug":"cathay-group-announces-2026-interim-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/planesintheair.com\/?p=15717","title":{"rendered":"Cathay Group announces 2026 interim results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Story by Cathay Group<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Cathay Group, including airlines, subsidiaries and associates, reported an attributable profit of HK$6.2 billion in the first half of 2026, which compares with HK$3.7 billion in the first half of 2025. \u200b<\/p>\n<p>The attributable profit for the first half of 2026 included non-recurring gains of HK$1 billion, mainly from the non-cash deemed partial disposal gain of approximately HK$1.4 billion arising from the dilution of the Group\u2019s equity interest in Air China Limited.<\/p>\n<p>The Group\u2019s first-half result has allowed it to announce a first interim dividend to ordinary shareholders of HK26 cents per share, totalling HK$1.6 billion. This represents a 30% increase per ordinary share when compared with the first interim dividend of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Group\u2019s airlines and subsidiaries reported an attributable profit of HK$4.9 billion for the first half of 2026, versus a profit of HK$3.8 billion in the first half of 2025.
