Tokyo, Japan, October 6, 2026 – <\/strong>Starting with the 2027 summer flight schedule, the Lufthansa Group is significantly expanding its services to Japan due to a strong increase in demand. Lufthansa is resuming its direct Frankfurt to Nagoya service as well as adding an additional daily flight to Tokyo-Narita to its Tokyo service. SWISS is also expanding their capacity and offering more flights. As a result, the airlines of the Lufthansa Group will fly to Japan up to x50 times per week in Summer 2027, positioning itself as the leading European airline group in this market.<\/div>\n

Lufthansa Resumes Frankfurt\u2013Nagoya Service<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the 2027 summer flight schedule, Lufthansa is resuming its Frankfurt\u2013Nagoya route on a seasonal basis. The route is scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Starting March 29, 2027, outbound flight LH736 will depart Frankfurt at 2:10 p.m. and arrive in Nagoya the following day at 9:35 a.m. local time. The return flight, LH737, will depart Nagoya at 11:30 a.m. and arrives in the Rhine-Main metropolitan area at 6:30 p.m. local time.<\/p>\n

Nagoya is one of Japan\u2019s most important industrial and economic centers. Aichi Prefecture is the main center for the country\u2019s automotive industry and other manufacturing companies. Rich in samurai history, Nagoya also offers direct access to key destinations in the region, such as the ancient imperial city of Kyoto. Via Lufthansa\u2019s Frankfurt hub, travelers from Nagoya can connect to numerous destinations in Europe and South America.<\/p>\n
