The new\u00a0supersonic jet of the future\u00a0would go on to\u00a0a stellar career that lasted 27 years, until the\u00a0fiery\u00a0crash of an Air France Concorde in 2000 rang\u00a0the airplanes death knell. In\u00a0April of 2003, Air France and British Airways both\u00a0announced that they would be retiring their\u00a0Concorde\u00a0fleets.
