Bombardier Commercial Aircraft today celebrated the delivery of the \nfirst of two Q400 aircraft ordered by Qazaq Air JSC of Kazakhstan \n(\u201cQazaq Air\u201d) in 2017. The order followed Qazaq Air\u2019s successful launch \nof domestic service in Kazakhstan in July 2015, using three leased Q400 \naircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qazaq Air\u2019s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Adel Dauletbek and the \nairline\u2019s Head of Public Relations, Sergey Khetsuriani, joined the \nairline\u2019s flight and acceptance crew during a special delivery ceremony \nat Bombardier\u2019s Toronto site where the Q400 aircraft is manufactured. \nH.E. Akylbek Kamaldinov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Canada was in \nattendance as well as Bombardier Commercial Aircraft\u2019s team which \nincluded Ross Mitchell, Vice President, Commercial Operations and Mark \nGilbert, Director, Sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are delighted with the performance of our fleet of Q400 \nturboprops and are excited to welcome the additional aircraft into our \noperation,\u201d said Mr. Dauletbek. \u201cWith our larger fleet, our customers \nwill benefit from the expansion of our route network within Kazakhstan, \nas well as to nearby cities in the Central Asian region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe congratulate Qazaq Air on the growth of its operations and \nexpansion of its network,\u201d said Mr. Mitchell.  \u201cThe Q400 aircraft \ncontinues to prove itself in some of the most challenging locations \naround the world. The aircraft\u2019s speed, range and fuel efficiency, and \nespecially its certification for operations down to -54\u00b0C make it ideal \nfor operations on Qazaq Air\u2019s long routes in the Kazakh market.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
