Rimowa announced it will\u00a0build the aircraft\u00a0in Switzerland, with\u00a0the first flight currently scheduled for March of 2016.\u00a0The original single engine Junkers F13 was the world\u2019s first all metal commercial passenger airliner. More than 330 of the original airplanes were built, with only five left today in various museums around Europe. To build the replica, The\u00a0project team\u00a0planned the new plane from\u00a0a 3D scan it took of an existing Junker F-13 in Paris.\u00a0The new versions will be powered by a single Pratt &amp; Whitney R-985 radial engine with 450 horsepower.
