The airline carrier this week formally applied for slot authority to offer new service to the\u00a0City of Long Beach, subject to government approval. Long Beach would be the 5th airport in the Los Angeles basin to be served by the air carrier. The others served are\u00a0the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Los Angeles international Airport,\u00a0and the Ontario Airport. Airline\u00a0officials stated that they plan\u00a0to operate 9 flights a\u00a0day, but did not disclose\u00a0what cities they plan to serve.
