The council stated that the award\u00a0recognizes the \u00a0towers innovative and collaborative design and construction.\u00a0 The new tower is the tallest structure in the US employing a vertical post tension system, allowing the tower to remain standing\u00a0and operational\u00a0in the event of a major earthquake.
