Deliveries of the new private jet\u00a0are now under way. A\u00a0ceremony honoring the first HondaJet delivery of the executive light jet was held\u00a0at Honda Aircrafts\u00a0world headquarters\u00a0in Greensboro, North Carolina\u00a0last\u00a0December. This followed\u00a0HondaJet receiving its official type certification from the Federal Aviation Administration. The company states that\u00a0the HondaJet&#8217;s performance\u00a0is the\u00a0most efficient in its class. This is due to the planes revolutionary design,\u00a0with the engines being mounted above the\u00a0natural laminar flow wings and fuselage. The majority of the aircraft is built with\u00a0lightweight composite materials instead of\u00a0aluminum.<\/p>\n<h2>HondaJet\u00a0teams with GE<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"redactor-invisible-space\">The Honda aircraft build team\u00a0joined forces\u00a0with General Electric to make the HondaJet engines. Each engine is capable of producing a little over 2,000 pounds of thrust per foot.\u00a0The aircrafts size is around<\/span><span class=\"redactor-invisible-space\">\u00a043 feet long (13 meters), with the\u00a0wingspan coming in\u00a0around 40<\/span>\u00a0feet (12 meters), and a height of around 15 feet (4.50 meters). The interior cabin\u00a0can be configured with up to seat up to six seats. The cabins\u00a0structure of\u00a0a honeycomb sandwich combination\u00a0results in more\u00a0cabin space, better performance, and greater fuel efficiency\u00a0according to the HondaJet team. The aircraft\u00a0is being manufactured at the Honda Aviation Headquarters facility in North Carolina. Honda is planning to focus its sales effort on\u00a0the lower end of the light jet market\u00a0in\u00a0North America, South America and Europe. Honda has setup\u00a0a dealer network in the target area, and\u00a0pilot training and certification are currently underway at its headquarters facility.
