These routes are part of JetBlue\u2019s strategy to add routes with high potential for leisure demand, and will set the airline up to be the largest carrier in\u00a0Connecticut\u00a0by 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"472\" src=\"https:\/\/planesintheair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/NewCTRoutes-01-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8703\" srcset=\"https:\/\/planesintheair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/NewCTRoutes-01-1.jpg 480w, https:\/\/planesintheair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/NewCTRoutes-01-1-300x295.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week,&nbsp;Connecticut&nbsp;simplified its travel advisory enabling all travelers visiting or returning to the state to provide a negative COVID-19 test result obtained within 72 hours prior to or upon arrival to avoid the state\u2019s 14-day quarantine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to roll out these new routes connecting&nbsp;Hartford&nbsp;to some of our largest leisure destinations, bringing more low fares and great service to&nbsp;Connecticut&nbsp;residents,\u201d said Scott Laurence, head of revenue and planning, JetBlue. \u201cWe are proud to play our part in support of Gov. We are confident that our strengthened partnership will provide major benefits for&nbsp;Connecticut&nbsp;travelers, JetBlue, and Bradley Airport.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JetBlue has built a sizeable presence in&nbsp;Hartford&nbsp;with up to 12 flights per day pre-pandemic and has been instrumental in adding new routes and lowering fares for state residents. Each route plays to JetBlue\u2019s strengths in the airline\u2019s focus cities, in&nbsp;Florida,&nbsp;Latin America&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Caribbean&nbsp;or on cross-country \u2013 or transcontinental \u2013 flying. Every market has been identified as one in which JetBlue anticipates increasing demand for leisure travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In anticipation of these recent network additions, JetBlue is readying some aircraft that have been temporarily parked.
