With the new\u00a0long term agreement, Air China and United will\u00a0established a joint initiative to improve the\u00a0coordination of routes and schedules between the\u00a0airlines. This will serve to enhance the product service to their\u00a0customers in US and China.\u00a0The improvements will include expanding connecting flight options, enhancement of the joint operation route experience for customers, improving benefits for\u00a0elite frequent flyers, and the coordination and expansion of its joint marketing\u00a0operations.\u00a0The new initiative will be led by senior executives at\u00a0both airlines, who will hold\u00a0regularly scheduled meetings to coordinate the rollout of new initiatives, promote the integration of cultures, and prep both companies for the possible future expansion of the existing agreements.<\/p>\n<h2>Air China and United Airlines joint Pacific operations<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">United Airlines currently operates\u00a0three nonstop routes to mainland China from its San Francisco International Airport gateway hub. United will also be launching\u00a0new\u00a0nonstop service to an additional two cities\u00a0in mainland China\u00a0when service to\u00a0Xi&#8217;an\u00a0starts on May 8, 2016, and Hangzhou beginning on July 13, 2016.
