Allegiant Air continues low cost carrier expansion

Following the service expansion of Frontier Airlines earlier this month, Allegiant Air has also announced a route expansion. The airline will be adding 19 new routes, including service to 3 new cities.

The new service announced includes the following city pairs and service start dates:

  • Baltimore/Washington, DC (BWI) to Asheville, North Carolina (May 19), Cincinnati, Ohio (April 29), Knoxville, Tennessee (May 20), Lexington, Kentucky (June 3), Tulsa, Oklahoma (May 19), and Savannah, Georgia (April 29).
  • Destin/Ft. Walton Beach, Florida (VPS) to Cincinnati, Ohio (May 20 – September 5), and St. Louis, Missouri (June 2).
  •  Jacksonville, Florida (JAX) to Memphis, Tennessee (April 15), New Orleans, Louisiana (April 14), and Richmond, Virginia (April 15).
  • Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS) to El Paso, Texas (May 6) and Knoxville, Tennessee (May 13).
  • St. Petersburg, Florida (PIE) to New Orleans, Louisiana (June 3).
  • San Diego, California (SAN) to El Paso, Texas (May 6) and Stockton, California (April 7).
  • Savannah, Georgia (SAV) to Baltimore/Washington, DC (April 29), Indianapolis, Indiana (April 8), Lexington, Kentucky (June 2), and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (April 8).
