ANA Holdings acquires all shares of Peach Aviation

Story and ? by ANA Holdings Co.

Tokyo, Japan, December 20, 2024 – ANA Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Koji Shibata, hereinafter “ANAHD”) and First Eastern Aviation Holdings (Headquarters: Hong Kong, Chairman: Victor Chu, hereinafter “FE”), partners since the founding of Peach Aviation Limited (Headquarters: Osaka, President: Kazunari Ohashi, hereinafter “Peach”), have agreed for ANAHD to acquire the 7% Peach shares held by FE. As a result, ANAHD acquired all shares of Peach on December 20th.

Peach, Japan’s first LCC, has expanded since its establishment in 2011 and became a consolidated subsidiary of ANAHD in 2017. Its revenue reached an all-time high in the first half of fiscal year 2024. On December 4, 2024, Peach expanded its operations and its network in Asia by launching the Osaka (Kansai)-Singapore route using the latest Airbus A321LR aircraft. ANAHD’s relationship with Peach increased inbound tourists to Japan and attracted new customers to ANA.

As we anticipate further increase of inbound tourists, the decision to make Peach a wholly owned subsidiary is designed to build on previous growth, strengthen the ANA Group’s business portfolio and increase profits. ANAHD will continue to actively develop demand to increase inbound tourists, with the goal of attracting 60 million visitors and encouraging regional revitalization.

ANAHD will support Peach’s goal to become a leading LCC in Asia by leveraging the Peach corporate culture and brand and by constantly seeking and overcoming new challenges. We will continue to enhance collaboration and cooperation between Peach and various companies within the ANA Group to expand the airline business sector and improve performance while enhancing the corporate value of the ANA Group.
