Seattle, Washington, March 26, 2025 – Boeing and Korean Air today finalized a landmark order for up to 50 widebody airplanes, including 20 777-9’s, 20 787-10’s and options for 10 additional 787 Dreamliners. This order marks the airline’s largest deal with Boeing and will play an important role as it continues to integrate operations with Asiana Airlines.
The agreement, announced as a commitment at the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow, will be added to Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ Orders and Deliveries website.
Korean Air is transforming into one of the world’s largest airlines by capacity following its merger with Asiana Airlines last year. The carrier recently unveiled its new branding and livery on a 787-10 as an initial step to operate under a single entity. As part of these efforts, the company is renewing its fleet with new fuel-efficient widebody jets to add capacity to its global network.
