Subaru delivers Bell 412EPX firefighting and disaster relief helicopter

Tokyo, Japan, January 26, 2026 – Subaru Corporation has delivered the “SUBARU BELL 412EPX” to Nara Prefecture for use as a firefighting and disaster relief helicopter. A commissioning ceremony hosted by the prefecture was held on January 26, 2026. The aircraft will be deployed for rescue operations and other disaster‑response missions within the prefecture.

Based on the BELL 412 series, the aircraft is equipped with advanced navigation systems*1 and the latest technologies designed to enhance pilot visibility.

These features, combined with the series’ inherent high maneuverability and reliability, further improve operational stability across a wide range of mission environments—including emergency medical services, mountain rescue operations, and disaster‑response information gathering.

Subaru will continue to ensure the safe and reliable operation of aircraft delivered to customers, not only through manufacturing and sales, but also by providing comprehensive after‑sales support, including parts supply and regular maintenance.
