Xiamen Airlines of China to accelerate international expansion

Xiamen Airlines of China has announced it is going to accelerate its international expansion plans. The carrier will take delivery of the first of 6 additional 787-9 aircraft this year, and will use the aircraft to launch new service between Xiamen, China and the cities of Melbourne, Australia and Vancouver, Canada this year. Service between Fuzhou, China and New York City (JFK) is scheduled to begin in January of 2017. The airline currently operates international service between Xiamen and the cities of Amsterdam, Netherlands and Sydney, Australia, and flights between Fuzhou and Sydney.
