Delta is moving forward on the largest tenant improvement award in Los Angeles World Airports history, with a $1.86 billion plan to modernize its terminals.

Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE: DAL) and LAWA have formally kicked off the Delta Sky Way at LAX project, which will upgrade and connect Terminals 2, 3, and the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B). The announcement follows the LAWA Board of Airport Commissioners’ recent approval of the largest tenant improvement award in its history, which Delta said cleared the way for the Sky Way at LAX to begin. Construction is set to start in the fall.
