Boeing tax breaks stay alive in Washington state. In a narrow vote of 8 to 7, lawmakers in the state of Washington House Finance committee voted down a bill that would have linked billions of dollars in state tax breaks to the Boeing Company’s active employment levels. The credits, worth around $9 billion over the next 16 years, are expected to generate around $21 billion in state tax revenue from the increase in economic activity. Boeing released a statement that it was pleased with the decision, labeling it as a victory for aerospace workers in Washington state, and across the country.
