JetBlue Mint is on the attack after losing the bidding war for Virgin America. The carrier has announced it will be expanding its premium upscale Mint service on more transcontinental routes, including several routes that will overlap with those of the newly merged Alaska Airlines and Virgin America. Those two airlines agreed to combine on April 4, with Alaska Airlines outbidding a competing offer from JetBlue at $57 per share. Many analysts have said that they actually believe JetBlue to be the winner, stating that they feel Alaska over payed for the tiny airline it ended up buying.

The 7 new routes announced for Mint service are:

Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles (LAX)
Fort Lauderdale and San Francisco (SFO)
Las Vegas and New York (JFK)
San Diego and New York (JFK)
San Diego and Boston
Seattle and New York (JFK)
Seattle and Boston

The routes shown in bold above all overlap with Alaska/Virgin America nonstop routes, so JetBlue is definitely already on the offensive against the merging carriers.
