Delta Air Lines 737 sitting on the tarmac awaiting departure from the Los Cabos International Airport in this Friday’s Pic of the Week. It’s been incredible to see the rapid increase in flights and passenger traffic that Los Cabos has seen over the last several years. Even a direct hit by Hurricane Odile in 2014, the strongest tropical cyclone on record to ever hit the Mexico Baja peninsula, has not slowed down the flocks of tourists and ex-pats that frequent the beauty of “Lands End”. With the new toll road spur now open, travel time from the Los Cabos International Airport to Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos will be greatly reduced. The new toll road spur connects the airport toll road 1D to Highway 19, which goes south into Cabo San Lucas, and north to Todos Santos and La Paz.
