Jeju International Airport, on the South Korean resort island of Jeju, re-opened today after the biggest snowfall in more than 30 years. The airports shut down reportedly stranded some 86,000 people due to the bad weather. Jeju is known as South Korea’s Hawaii for its beaches and warm climate, but the resort recorded its largest  snowfall in three decades, with the temperature dropped to 21 Fahrenheit. The Jeju International Airport was shut down on Saturday due to the heavy snow and winds, with almost 1,100 flights cancelled over the weekend.
