Hainan Airlines has announced it will launch a second nonstop route between China and Canada. Service between Beijing and Calgary will run 3 times a week beginning on June 30, and will be flown with a Boeing 787 aircraft. The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Hainan, based in Haikou, is an interline partner of Canada’s WestJet Airlines, and plans to increase the flights to 4 times a week in the future. The airline first launched service to Canada in 2010 with service to Toronto.
