Las Vegas Sands CEO sells over $5.2 million in company stock

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE: LVS) CEO and Chairman, Robert G. Goldstein, has sold 100,000 shares of the company’s common stock, according to a recent SEC filing. The transaction, which took place on March 15, 2024, amounted to over $5.2 million, with shares sold at a weighted average price of $52.06.

The sales were executed in multiple transactions with prices ranging between $52 and $52.26. Post-transaction, Goldstein still holds 172,801 shares indirectly through The Robert and Sheryl Goldstein Trust, signifying a continued stake in the company’s future.

Southwest Airlines pilots to vote on new five-year agreement

Dallas, Texas, December 20, 2023 – Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) announced today that a Tentative Agreement has been reached with the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association (SWAPA) and will be voted on by the airline’s nearly 11,000 Pilots.

SWAPA will communicate details of the contract and the voting process to Pilots.

Southwest® began accruing for market wage rates for all open labor contracts April 1, 2022. The Company’s fourth quarter 2023 guidance range for operating expenses per available seat mile, excluding fuel and oil expense, profitsharing, and special items (CASM-X), including those associated with this Tentative Agreement, remains unchanged at down 16 percent to 19 percent year-over-year. The CASM-X guidance range is inclusive of market wage rate accruals for this, and all open labor contracts, related to the fourth quarter 2023 time period.

Alaska Air adds Porter Airlines as 30th global airline partner

Alaska Airlines Group Inc (NYSE: ALK) is welcoming a new global airline partner: Porter Airlines, a growing Canadian carrier that begins its inaugural nonstop service between Toronto and both Los Angeles and San Francisco in January. Those flights, along with flights connecting on Alaska across our West Coast network, can be purchased later today at alaskaair.com. Mileage Plan members who buy Porter flights on our website also earn at least 100% of the miles flown and 100% elite-qualifying miles.

Porter’s new routes will link Los Angeles and San Francisco to Canada’s largest city and beyond with connections to destinations across Eastern Canada including Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax. Porter will fly the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft between California and Toronto, which is known for its quieter flying and greater fuel efficiency than previous generation technology.

Porter is Alaska’s 30th global partner airline. Porter’s daily nonstop service between Los Angeles-Toronto begins on Jan. 16 with the airline’s operations conveniently located alongside Alaska’s gates at Terminal 6 at LAX. Porter’s San Francisco-Toronto service will launch the following week on Jan. 25. Porter is now selling flights with Alaska connections on its website.

Allegiant Airlines secures financing for Airbus a320 ceo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft

Las Vegas, Nevada, October 3, 2023, PRNewswire – Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ: ALGT) announces financing commitments for seven Airbus A320 and four Boeing 737 MAX aircraft from BNP Paribas, Europe’s leading bank, and Jackson Square Aviation (JSA), a leading global commercial aircraft lessor.

The innovative $412M deal combines banking and lessor capital to secure Allegiant’s aircraft financing needs into the second quarter 2024, while providing the airline with healthy liquidity at an attractive cost in today’s market.

Allegiant has drawn down $196 million on September 29, and the remainder will be drawn commensurate with its initial 737 MAX deliveries.

Allegiant currently operates an all-Airbus fleet comprised of 127 Airbus A319’s and A320’s.

Allegiant Air Orders Up to 100 737 MAX Jets

Seattle, Washington, January 5, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Allegiant Air (NASDAQ: ALGT) today announced an order for 50 737 MAX jets, with options for 50 additional airplanes. In Boeing’s first U.S. ultra-low cost carrier (ULCC) deal, Allegiant selected two models – the 737-7 and 737-8-200 – in the 737 MAX family, which provide the lowest seat-mile costs for a single-aisle airplane and high-dispatch reliability. 

With commonality and improved fuel efficiency, the 737 MAX family enables airlines to optimize their fleets across a broad range of missions. The 737-7 provides low-operating costs that enable carriers to open new routes with less economic risk, and the larger 737-8-200 offers added revenue potential and is right-sized for ULCC market expansion.
