Russia’s international air traffic recorded a decline of 15.8% in 2015, down to 39.5 million passengers, according to the country’s Federal Air Transport Agency. However, domestic traffic was up 13.6%, to 52.6 million. Some of the decline is being blamed on the shutdown of Russia’s Transaero, which collapsed last October. Aeroflot, Russia’s official flag carrier, carried 26.1 million passengers, an increase of 10.6%.
