Colorado’s Aspen-Pitkin County Airport has announced that American Airlines and United Airlines will be expanding their summer and fall schedules into Aspen in 2016. New flights on American Airlines will include summer nonstop service from Chicago (O’Hare), with expansion of current daily service from both Los Angeles (LAX) and Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW). American Airlines’ summer service from Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles will begin on June 2. Flights from Chicago and Los Angeles are scheduled to operate daily through the 15th of August, while the daily nonstop flights from Dallas are scheduled to continue through October 5. United Airlines will add new summer nonstop service from San Francisco Airport (SFO). This will be in addition to the current summer service from Chicago, Denver, Houston, and Los Angeles. New nonstop flights from San Francisco will begin on June 9 and continue through August 15. Seasonal nonstop flights from Houston begin June 3, with flights from Chicago and Los Angeles starting June 9. Houston flights are scheduled to operate through the 15th of August, while nonstop flights from Chicago and Los Angeles will be extended. Chicago flights will operate through October 4, and Los Angeles flights through October 29. United’s daily service from Denver will continue to fly year round.
